Questo plastico di chiesa sincretista, ossia di chiesa che accoglie tutte le religioni, ma con Buddha al culmine della cupola, è il lavoro di un ebanista che la finì quando era quasi centenario, all’inizio di questo secolo. Non ci sarebbe nulla di notevole: un gaio vecchietto che si diverte con il traforo. C’è gente che ha fatto il duomo di Milano con i fiammiferi svedesi, altri che hanno prodotto galeoni in bottiglia. La particolarità inquietante è il luogo dove il plastico è conservato: la Chiesa di S.Ignazio di Loyola a Roma. C’è anche un cartello, che spiega come questo edificio, facendo “confluire, unificare le varie religioni” sia un augurio di pace.
Certo che se S.Ignazio vedesse…

150 anni e nessuno se la caga
Non sono un gran fanatico di Roma Capitale, ma certamente il significato laico della ricorrenza mi colpisce positivamente. Il contrario di quanto avviene per i sedicenti custodi dell’Unità d’Italia. Paradossalmente, la commemorazione è stata lasciata ai gesuiti, con numeri speciali de La Civiltà Cattolica.
